In case you haven’t been paying attention, Fast is a London-based designer and graduate of Central St. Martin’s prestigious knitwear program. He’s also orginally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, which is pretty neat. Fast shocked the fashion world with his SS09 collection by sending models of substantial size down the runway. Hardly large by “real” life standards, Fast’s models — including Crystal Renn — were UK sizes 12 to 16 (U.S. sizes 8-12). Quel shock. Fast’s diffusion line is currently available via TopShop.
